site is set up in such a way as to allow you to explore the "The Great War" at
your own pace and in your own manner. If you don't know where to start then the Reference  Library
is a good bet. It is a complete catalog of everything on the site. New visitors should
report here. Now includes a site map. Selected Tours of the Web Site are theme based

the great war It was supposed to be "The War to End All
Wars". For over four years World War One raged on, leaving in its wake a toll
of death and destruction such as the world had never seen. These are the images of that
time, an eternal testament to all those whose lives were lost or forever altered by
"The Great War." There are currently 1500 photos in this imagebase.
Special thanks to the Imperial War Museum of London for the use of many of the images that
