1. Read the actual Patton speeches and the speech that George C. Scott delivers at the opening of the movie. Compare them. Include at least three quotes that Scott uses that were really part of the actual Patton speech.

2. Why was Patton promoted to command II Corps? What did he do to change the unit when he took over?

3. Compare and contrast the personalities of Patton, Montgomery and Bradley. Which one was the better General? Why do you think so?

4. There were two primary ways that Patton contributed to the success of the Normandy invasion. Discuss each of them.

5. Go on the Internet. Search for the real 'Weather Prayer' that Patton had the Chaplain write. How does this compare to the prayer in the movie?

6. Discuss the differences of what happened to Montgomery, Eisenhower, Bradley and Patton after the end of the war. What is your opinion of this?
