You have got to go here! This site by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism
is packed with good stuff. There are bios of Cleopartra VII, Augustus and
all the other Julio-Claudians. The Egyptian Antiquities section is a vast resource of Egyptian
history, including an in-depth historical archive, plus information on monuments and
artifacts. Highly recommended. |
Another great source for
Electronic Texts. Superb!
There
is a map of city and a detailed model of
Rome at the University of Caen. It is a plaster model of about 70
square metres (scale being 1/400) The model represents 3/5 of the city as it was
when Constantine was Emperor at the beginning of the fourth century. Very cool
detailed views.
This site
is a collection of "Rome resources" for all those working on the Rome project at
The Dalton School. Anyone interested in Classical Rome will find this site to be a
valuable research tool. The site is very large, and is divided into several categories,
including Archaeology, Literature, Military, Political, Philosophy and more.
Wander the streets of the mighty Caesar
under a hot Roman sun. Refresh yourself in the cool recesses of your favorite Market. Do
some Site Seeing or play the classic online game S.P.Q.R.
Super graphics!
The Library of Congress Vatican Exhibit has some very
worthwhile pages.
